Grants for your website or app in Belgium in 2026: what still exists
Short answer
As of October 2026, most regional grants for a website or app in Belgium are on hold: Wallonia's digital maturity cheque is suspended and Flanders' KMO-portefeuille has been scrapped. In Brussels, the Digitalisation Grant is still open. Across Belgium, a 120% tax deduction applies to e-invoicing costs.
Region by region
| Region | Grant | Status on 27/10/2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Wallonia | Digital maturity cheque | Suspended since 12/07/2026 |
| Wallonia | Cybersecurity cheque | Open, with an already certified provider |
| Wallonia | Start IA and Tremplin IA | 2026 calls closed |
| Brussels | Digitalisation Grant | Open |
| Flanders | KMO-portefeuille | Discontinued (VLAIO, 15/10/2026) |
| Federal | 120% deduction for e-invoicing | Valid for 2024 to 2027 |
Wallonia
The digital maturity cheque, often used to fund a website or a digital tool, has been suspended since 12 July 2026. No new applications are accepted.
The cybersecurity cheque is still open. It covers 75% of the work, but only with a provider that is already certified. No new providers have been certified since July 2025.
The 2026 Start IA and Tremplin IA calls have closed, on 30 September and 17 July.
A new decree on business cheques, dated 2 July 2026, will take effect on 1 July 2027 at the latest, and the Walloon Government can bring that date forward. Start IA and Tremplin IA will become part of it as AI-focused digital cheques.
Brussels
The Digitalisation Grant was not affected by the Brussels grant suspensions of 12 August 2026. It covers 25 to 70% of costs, up to €10,000 a year. You can use it to build or technically improve a website, digitise your processes or strengthen your security.
Two things to check first:
- You apply before the work starts. Work that has already begun cannot be covered.
- The provider must meet the Region's conditions, including at least two years of consulting as its main activity. Ask them to confirm this in writing.
The Consultancy, Training, Recruitment and Coworking grants, however, have been suspended since 12 August 2026.
Flanders
The KMO-portefeuille has been discontinued. The 2026 budget ran out, and the Flemish Region decided to scrap it, according to VLAIO's update of 15 October 2026. The advice component, apart from cybersecurity, had already ended on 1 February 2026.
Federal: the 120% deduction for e-invoicing
This is the easiest support to use today, anywhere in Belgium. SMEs and self-employed people can deduct 120% of what they pay to switch to e-invoicing, for the tax periods 2024 to 2027. It covers:
- subscriptions to e-invoicing software;
- consulting fees to prepare for or set up e-invoicing.
If the e-invoicing module is an add-on to an existing subscription, it must be shown separately on the invoice.

What this means for you
- Check the date on the page. Many websites still advertise a "75% cheque" or the KMO-portefeuille. A grant listed without a date may already be closed.
- Apply before you sign. For most grants, work that starts too early is no longer covered.
- Check that your provider is approved for the grant. It's not a given. BILIC, for example, is not currently an approved provider for these regional grants.
- Talk to your accountant about the 120% deduction.
